HC Deb 17 April 1935 vol 300 cc1831-2
18. Lieut.-Colonel APPLIN

asked the Under-Secretary of State for Air whether he is aware that the Air Ministry, having entered into a contract for the carriage of material between Busreh and Dhibban, now decline to carry out Clause 3 thereof which lays down the terms of payment of freight; and what are the grounds for this breach of contract entailing financial hardship on the carriers who are carrying out their part of the contract?

Sir P. SASSOON

I can assure the hon. and gallant Member that there has been no breach of the contract by the Air Ministry. The second part of the question does not therefore arise.
