HC Deb 22 November 1934 vol 295 c242
21. Sir COOPER RAWSON asked

the Postmaster-General whether he has considered the case of a subscriber who pays cash down for 16 hand microphones compared with that of the subscriber who pays by instalments over a period of years, who has now had the price of his telephones reduced from £1 to 12s. and is consequently better off to the extent of £6 8s. than the subscriber who pays cash in one lump sum; and will he consider making a corresponding reduction and refund to the quick payer?

Sir K. WOOD

I would refer my hon. Friend to the answer given to the hon. and gallant Member for St. Marylebone (Captain Cunningham-Reid) on the 5th instant.
