HC Deb 22 November 1934 vol 295 cc242-3
22. Mr. BOSSOM asked

the Postmaster-General whether, seeing the limited number of persons who can actually see events such as the opening of Parliament by Their Majesties or the coming marriage of the Duke of Kent and Princess Marina, and in view of the widespread interest in these occasions throughout the Empire, he will have the necessary arrangements made that will enable them to be permanently recorded and circulated by cinema and wireless, or other appropriate means?

Sir K. WOOD

I have no authority to arrange for the preparation or circulation of records such as my hon. Friend suggests. So far as wireless records are concerned, I understand that the British Broadcasting Corporation has arranged to make permanent records of the whole of the wedding ceremony.
