HC Deb 22 November 1934 vol 295 cc251-2
40. Mr. MANDER

asked the Prime Minister whether he will state the attitude of the Government with regard to Anglo-American co-operation in the future; and what action the Government proposes to take in the matter?

The PRIME MINISTER

I do not think that this is a matter which can he suitably dealt with by means of Parliamentary Question and Answer. But, as the hon. Member is aware, His Majesty's Government always attach the highest value to close friendship and collaboration between this country and the United States.

Mr. MANDER

Has the Prime. Minister considered the speech made by General Smuts on this subject on 12th November and will he be good enough to bear it in mind?
