HC Deb 22 November 1934 vol 295 cc249-50
34. Captain A. EVANS

asked the Financial Secretary to the War Office if His Majesty's Government have yet come to a decision in regard to the future location of the Royal Arsenal; and if he is in a position to make a statement to the House?

The FINANCIAL SECRETARY to the WAR OFFICE (Mr. Douglas Hacking)

No decision has yet been reached, and I regret, therefore, that no statement can be made at present.

Captain EVANS

Am I to understand from that reply that there is absolutely no truth in the statement which appeared in the "Daily Herald" last week that a decision had been reached in this particular matter?

Mr. HACKING

If such a statement appeared in the "Daily Herald," there is certainly no truth in it.
