asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether it has been definitely decided that women are to be admitted to the British diplomatic service; and, if so, on what conditions and on what date?

No, Sir. The committee which, as the House will be aware, was recently set up by my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs to report to him on the question of the admission of women to the diplomatic service, has not yet completed its labours.
