§ 45. Mr. CHORLTONasked the Prime Minister if he has considered the letter dated 8th May from the Parliamentary Science Committee urging the desirability of including scientists and technicians in the personnel of all Royal Commissions, Departmental Committees, and other committees which deal with scientific and technical matters; and what action he proposes to take thereon?
§ Mr. BALDWINI have noted the views expressed by the Parliamentary Science Committee and made enquiries into the three particular cases to which they drew my attention. The object is always to obtain the best possible guidance, and, while in view of the variety of circumstances I think it would be inadvisable to lay down any general rule, I can assure my hon. Friend that the importance of including scientists and technicians in appropriate cases is and will be fully borne in mind.
