§ 24. Mr. LECKIEasked the Secretary of State for Dominion Affairs when he proposes to put into operation a scheme of overseas settlement in one of the British Dominions on the lines of the scheme approved by the Overseas Settlement Department in connection with Argentina?
Mr. J. H. THOMASOn the question of future migration policy I would refer the hon. Member to the reply which I gave to the hon. and gallant Member for Bournemouth (Sir H. Croft) on the 15th May. I would only add that while the Oversea Settlement Department is naturally interested in the Argentine scheme referred to by the hon. Member, it is in no way responsible for it.
