That they have passed a Bill, intituled, "An Act to define the seaward boundary of the borough of Lowestoft; to provide for the leasing of part of the pier known as the South Pier by the London and North Eastern Railway Company to the Mayor, Aldermen, and Burgesses of the said borough and to empower the said Mayor, Aldermen, and Burgesses to maintain and manage the premises so leased to them; to confer further powers upon the said Mayor, Aldermen, and Burgesses with regard to the supply of electricity and the health, local government, and improvement of the borough; and for other purposes."
