HC Deb 21 March 1934 vol 287 c1204
29. Mr. JANNER

asked the Secretary to the Overseas Trade Department whether, in view of the fact that the exports of British iron and steel manufactures to Palestine for February, 1934, were many times in excess of those for February, 1933, he will call the attention of British iron and steel manufacturers specially to the need to participate in the forthcoming Levant Fair?

Lieut.-Colonel COLVILLE

I am informed by the Federation of British Industries, which is responsible for the organisation of the British Pavilion, that more than one-third of the space available has been taken by manufacturers of steel and engineering equipment. In the circumstances no further action appears to be necessary.
