EDWARDS (for Sir WILLIAM JENKINS)asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Board of Education the number of education authorities in England and Wales which employ school medical officers, dental surgeons, orthopaedic surgeons, and school nurses, giving the number of officers per thousand of children on the books, for 1920, 1925, 1930, 1932, and 1933, and giving figures for England and Wales separately?

§ (b) Precise information is not available as to the amount of work done for Local Education Authorities by District Nurses. It is therefore not possible to estimate the ratio of the number of School Nurses to the number of children in average attendance.
§ (c) Separate figures for England and Wales cannot be given without an undue expenditure of time and labour.
