HC Deb 06 March 1934 vol 286 c1638
24. Mr. BURNETT

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he can give any information with regard to the plasterers' strike, and the effect which it is likely to have upon the provision of houses and the payment of subsidy?

Mr. SKELTON

The first part of the question should be addressed to my right hon. Friend the Minister of Labour. As regards the second part, my hon. Friend will readily understand that the continuation of the strike would postpone the completion of houses not yet plastered. Subsidy becomes payable on completion of the houses.
