§ 22. Mr. MANDERasked the Minister of Health the present position with regard to the formation of a joint planning committee between the Staffordshire and Derbyshire County Councils for the preservation of Dovedale; and what the position now is?
Sir H. YOUNGI understand that at a recent conference of local authorities in Derbyshire, called by the Derbyshire County Council, a decision was taken to form a joint planning committee for an area comprising the portion of Dovedale which is in Derbyshire. So far as I am aware the two county councils have not yet discussed the question of combining to form a joint committee for planning purposes.
