§ 39. Mr. T. SMITH(for Mr. THORNE) asked the Minister of Health whether there has been a slum-clearance inquiry at Bangor; if he can state the number of houses that are to be pulled down; whether there has been a prevalence of scarlet fever, diphtheria, and infantile mortality in the Glanadda area; and whether there has been any opposition from the property owners in this district?
Major DAVIESAn inquiry was held at Bangor on the 9th instant into five clearance orders relating to 84 houses. Objections were received in respect of properties scheduled to each of the orders. As regards the third part of the question, separate figures are not available for the Glanadda area, which forms a part of the Bangor sanitary district.
