HC Deb 30 July 1934 vol 292 c2260
23. Mr. GRAHAM WHITE

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs if His Majesty's Government will issue a White Paper setting out, in chronological order, the record of the Disarmament Conference in relation to air disarmament?

31. Mr. COCKS

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether he will consider issuing a White Paper giving in chronological order the various proposals put forward by the different Governments at the Disarmament Conference for dealing with disarmament in the air and the control of civil aviation, together with a summary of the proceedings of the Air Commission, including the committee on the control of civil aviation set up by the conference?

Mr. EDEN

Summaries of the main features of the discussions of the air problem in the Disarmament Conference, and in some cases the minutes of the discussions themselves, have already been published by the League of Nations. I feel, therefore, that no useful purpose would be served by re-publishing these documents at the public expense.

Mr. MANDER

Are the Government proposing to put forward any proposal of their own to the Air Committee?

Mr. EDEN

Perhaps the hon. Gentleman will wait.

24. Mr. WHITE

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs if His Majesty's Government have submitted any proposals to the Air Commission of the Disarmament Conference since 11th June last; and, if so, if he can state the nature of these proposals?

Mr. EDEN

His Majesty's Government continue to stand by the air proposals contained in their Draft Convention of 16th March, 1933.
