HC Deb 25 July 1934 vol 292 c1780
40. Mr. T. SMITH (for Mr. THORNE)

asked the Minister of Labour whether any officials of his Department have yet been in touch with the management of the Pressed Steel Works, near Cowley, Oxford, in connection with the strike of nearly 1,000 persons if he is aware that the management has refused to see the representatives of the organised workers; and if he can make any statement on the matter?

Mr. HUDSON

Officers of the Department have not intervened in this dispute, but are aware of the facts. I understand that the management propose to re-open the works to-day.
