asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether the Royal Commission to inquire into the organisation of the university of Durham and its constituent colleges has yet been appointed?

I am glad to say that Lord Moyne has consented to be chairman of this Royal Commission. I hope to be able at no distant date to announce the names of the other commissioners.

Can the right hon. Gentleman say if there is any suggested date when they will begin the investigation?

The Commission have not been appointed yet.
