HC Deb 04 December 1934 vol 295 cc1395-6
14. Mr. ALBERT RUSSELL

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland whether he has considered the communication addressed to him by the Fife Small Burghs Association in relation to the inadequacy of the representation of the small burghs of Fife on the Fife County Council; and whether he is prepared to take the necessary steps to enlarge the representation of those small burghs on the Fife County Council so as to secure a more equitable basis of representation as between those small burghs and the landward portion of the county?

The SECRETARY of STATE for SCOTLAND (Sir Godfrey Collins)

I would refer my hon. Friend to the reply given to the hon. Member for East Fife (Mr. H. Stewart) on this subject on the 29th November, of which I am sending my hon. Friend a copy.
