§ Mr. ELLIOTI am well aware of the importance of scientific research to the poultry industry, and every effort is made to promote it so far as available funds permit. The position will be reviewed, in consultation with the Agricultural Research Council, in the light of the forthcoming report of the Reorganisation Commission for Eggs and Poultry.

§ Mr. ELLIOTI have heard recently from the Chairman of the Reorganisation Commission for Eggs and Poultry that he hopes to be able to place the report in my hands before Christmas; it will be published as soon as I receive it.
