11. Mr. COCKS (for Mr. DOBBIE)

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether he has any information concerning the proposed agreement between Germany and Japan by which Germany would agree to export to Japan explosives, chemicals, machine guns, and aeroplane engines, and to arrange for 500 pilots and several hundreds of aircraft engines to go to Japan, in return for which Japan would supply Germany with soya beans?

I have been asked to reply. My right hon. Friend has no information to indicate that any agreement of the kind referred to is under consideration between Germany and Japan at the present time.
