§ Sir P. CUNLIFFE-LISTERI have not yet received from the new Governor of Seychelles, who assumed office only six weeks ago, a full statement of his views on the recommendations of the commissioner. I hope very shortly to receive from him a full report on the situation, together with his proposals for action. Meanwhile he has already initiated a policy of retrenchment in the Colony.
