HC Deb 16 April 1934 vol 288 c707
30. Mr. HAMMERSLEY

asked the Minister of Health whether he has any information as to whether building societies value a number of houses proposed to be built under the Housing (Financial Provisions) Act, 1933, at a lower value than the valuation placed by them on a unit house of the same type, and thereby the provision of houses to let for the working classes is being retarded; and what action he is taking in the matter?

The PARLIAMENTARY SECRETARY to the MINISTRY of HEALTH (Mr. Shakespeare)

My right hon. Friend has received and is making inquiries into one communication dealing with the subject raised by my hon. Friend. He will communicate with my hon. Friend when his inquiries are complete.
