HC Deb 16 April 1934 vol 288 c709
36. Mr. G. HALL

asked the Minister of Labour the number of persons in receipt of unemployment benefit and transitional payments, respectively, at the Employment Exchanges at Aberdare and Mountain Ash for the last five years to date?

Sir H. BETTERTON

As the reply includes a table of figures I will, if I may, circulate a statement in the OFFICIAL REPORT.

Following is the statement:

In view of the changes in the conditions for the receipt of insurance benefit, which came into operation in November, 1931, the figures for June, 1930, and March, 1931, are not strictly comparable with those for later dates.
