§ 32. Brigadier-General NATIONasked the Financial Secretary to the War Office whether a decision has been arrived at with regard to the new uniform for the Army which has recently been on trial?
§ Mr. COOPERNo, Sir. The trials are still in progress.
§ Brigadier - General NATIONThese trials have been in progress for two years. Can the hon. Gentleman not say how they have proceeded and what prospect there is now of this uniform being adopted?
§ Mr. COOPERI do not think they have been in progress as long as two 676 years. The special question which is now being considered is how they do in very wet weather. We did not have very much opportunity of judging of that.
§ Brigadier-General NATIONCan my hon. Friend say in what respect the new uniform is considered to be superior to the old one?
§ Mr. COOPERIt is not possible to say until the report has been considered.
