HC Deb 27 November 1933 vol 283 cc514-5
43. Major NATHAN

asked the Minister of Health in how many cases within the administrative county of London, and within which boroughs within that county, there are instances, and what number of instances, of families of more than 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4 and 3 persons, respectively, living in one room only?

The most recent figures available are those of the 1931 Census. The information desired by the hon. and gallant Member is obtainable from Table II of the London County Report Volume, which gives for the administrative county, the city and each Metro- politan borough, respectively, the separate numbers of families of each size enumerated as occupying a single room.

May I Ask the right hon. Gentleman whether the Table II which he mentioned is not, in fact, Table 117

Yes, I think that I have misrepresented it. The hon. and gallant Member is right. It is Table 11.
