HC Deb 23 May 1933 vol 278 c906
10. Mr. HENDERSON STEWART (for Sir IAN MACPHERSON)

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland how long the post of chief technical adviser in the Department of Agriculture has been vacant; if it is proposed to fill it; and, if not, for what reason?

Mr. SKELTON

As my right hon. Friend stated last week in reply to a question by the Noble Lord the Member for Perth (Lord Scone), the post of chief technical officer in the land division has been left vacant on grounds of economy Since August, 1931. The matter will be reviewed in the autumn of this year.
