HC Deb 03 May 1933 vol 277 cc840-3
Mr. LANSBURY

Will the Lord President of the Council state the business for to-morrow?

Mr. BALDWIN

The Committee stage of a Financial Resolution for the increase in the Exchange Equalisation Account announced in the Budget speech;

Report stage of the Ways and Means Resolution relating to the German Trade Agreement and of other outstanding Financial Resolutions;

Teachers (Superannuation) Bill. Second Reading, and, if there is time, other Orders on the Paper.

Mr. LANSBURY

In reference to the first Order, the Exchange Equalisation Account, I take it that the Resolution will be available in the Vote Office very soon?

Mr. BALDWIN

It will be put down to-night.

Mr. LANSBURY

I take it that if there is a fairly long discussion on the

German Trade Agreement, if hon. Members opposite want to torment the Government at great length, the Patronage Secretary will not expect the Opposition to sit up late while they are enjoying themselves?

Motion made, and Question put, That the Proceedings on Government Business be exempted, at this day's Sitting, from the provisions of the Standing Order (Sittings of the House)."—[Mr. Baldwin.]

The House divided: Ayes, 258; Noes, 30.
