asked the Postmaster-General whether he will consider -the possibility of reducing the present charges for air parcels sent to India, East Africa, and South Africa in order to facilitate the transmission of urgent consignments of goods, samples, and copy for the Press bearing an Imperial interest?

I have now had an opportunity of examining the results of the experimental period during which these air parcel services have been in operation, and I am glad to be able to announce that, as from 10th April, the present 1 lb. scale will be replaced by a ½ lb. scale, and the rates will in consequence be 2s. 3d. a ½ lb. to the Sudan, 3s. a ½ lb. to India and East Africa, and 3s. 6d. ½ a lb. to the Rhodesias and South Africa.
