HC Deb 28 March 1933 vol 276 c840
43. Mr. EMMOTT (for Mrs. TATE)

asked the Financial Secretary to the Treasury the total amount received in duties since the imposition of a tariff on cups and trophies won by British nationals in competitive sports in foreign countries?

Mr. HORE-BELISHA

There is AO separate tariff heading for cups and trophies as such. They may be chargeable with duty 'as goldsmiths' and silversmiths' wares or as manufactures containing metals such as platinum or copper, or again under other tariff headings according to the material of which they are made.
