HC Deb 22 March 1933 vol 276 cc312-3
2. Commander MARSDEN

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether he will cause inquiries to be made of the Chinese Government whether it would be more convenient for the despatch of business for His Majesty's Minister to be permanently stationed at Nanking?

Sir J. SIMON

No, Sir. The question of the best means of maintaining contact between His Majesty's Minister and the Chinese National Government receives constant and careful consideration. At present I do not see sufficient ground for altering the existing arrangements.
