Mr. BATEYasked the Minister of Labour if he is aware that the Sedgefield, County Durham, unemployment centre tendered for two cupboards for the new offices of the Sedgefield Public Assistance Committee, and as the price of £3 9s. 6d. for each cupboard was the lowest tender it was accepted; and whether he will take steps to see that unemployment centres in receipt of grants shall not compete with commercial firms for public contracts?
