§ 11. Lord SCONE
asked the Secretary of State for Scotland the acreage under wheat for all Scotland and Perthshire, respectively, for each of the years 1931, 1932 and 1933?
§ Sir G. COLLINS
For the years 1931 and 1932, the wheat acreage in Scotland was 50,024 and 32,072 acres respectively, and the corresponding figures for Perthshire were 6,491 and 7,147. For the year 1933 the acreage for all Scotland is estimated to be 70,000, and for Perthshire 8,580 acres.
§ Lord SCONE
Does not the right hon. Gentleman think that that is a very good indication of the success of the Government's agricultural policy in regard to wheat?
