asked the Minister of Health if he can give an estimate of the number of houses at present controlled, decontrolled, and new, corresponding to the figures referring to September, 1932, given in Cmd. 4208?

As the reply to the hon. Member involves a statement in tabular form, I will, with permission, circulate in the OFFICIAL REPORT the figures so far as England and Wales are concerned.

Following are the figures:

From such information as is available to me I estimate the present position to be approximately as follows:
