asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs if he will give details of the decision taken at the last meeting of the Council of the League of Nations with regard to the visit of the commission to the Gran Chaco in connection with the dispute between Bolivia and Paraguay?

At a meeting of the Council of the League of Nations on the 3rd instant, a report was accepted by the Bolivian and Paraguayan representatives, of which the main features are that both parties agree to the sending of a League commission to the Chaco forthwith, and that, pending the arrival of the commission, negotiations should proceed in Geneva for the purpose of determining the questions on which there should be arbitration.
