HC Deb 27 February 1933 vol 275 cc11-2
18. Mr. MANDER

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs if he Will make a, statement regarding the negotiations with the French Government concerning the 32 military aeroplanes recently flown to Hungary from Italy and there taken to pieces and hidden?

Sir J. SIMON

I have nothing to add to the reply which I gave to my hon. Friend's question on this subject on Thursday last.

Mr. MANDER

Do I understand that no communications have been received from the French Government on this matter?

Sir J. SIMON

No. In reply to an inquiry by the French Ambassador I have informed His Excellency that, in view of the denials issued by the Hungarian and Italian Governments, and the absence of any conclusive evidence, His Majesty's Government do not propose to proceed with the matter further.
