HC Deb 16 February 1933 vol 274 c1172
62. Mr. DAVID ADAMS

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer the total payments made to Northern Ireland up to 31st December, 1932; and whether the British Exchequer has any outstanding liabilities in respect of the Parliament buildings in Northern Ireland?

Mr. CHAMBERLAIN

I would refer to the replies given by my hon. Friend the Financial Secretary to the Treasury to the hon. Members for Walthamstow, West (Mr. McEntee) and the Govan Division of Glasgow (Mr. Maclean) on the 27th June and 6th July, 1932, respectively, which bring the figures down to the last completed financial year. In reply to the second part of the question, it is estimated that the charges which will remain to be met after the end of the current financial year in respect of the Parliament buildings in Northern Ireland are about £7,000.
