asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer what were the total net receipts from the Beer Duty in the last quarters of 1930, 1931 and 1932, respectively?

Mr. CHAMBERLAIN

The total net receipts from the Beer Duty (Customs and Excise) in the three quarters mentioned were respectively £18,806,000, £19,048,000 and £17,692,000.

Can my right hon. Friend give any indication of better results at the present time?

Mr. CHAMBERLAIN

No, Sir; I am not able to make that statement.
