asked the First Commissioner of Works the present position in regard to the selection of an architect for the new Government building in Whitehall?

After consideration of the recommendation of the Selection Committee appointed for the purpose, I have invited Mr. E. Vincent Harris to act as architect for the building on the terms mentioned in my reply on the 30th November to my hon. Friend the Member for Wavertree (Mr. Nall-Cain), and I am glad to be able to say that Mr. Harris has intimated his acceptance.
