HC Deb 06 December 1933 vol 283 cc1483-4
44. Mr. R. W. SMITH

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland whether the report of the Scottish Reorganisation Commission dealing with costs of marketing has yet been received; and whether he will state the average cost per head in Scotland of marketing the various classes of livestock?

Sir G. COLLINS

The commission to which my hon. Friend refers is presumably the Scottish Fat Stock Reorganisa- tion Commission, whose report, I am informed, is expected early next year. As regards the second part of the question, I am communicating to my hon. Friend certain particulars regarding charges normally incurred in the marketing of livestock.
