Mr. WILLIAMSasked the Secretary of State for the Colonies whether he can obtain any information as to the amounts of compensation being paid to natives in Kenya for disturbance and damage on the part of gold prospectors; and how many disputes arising out of this question have been referred to the district commissioner?
§ Mr. M. MacDONALDI would refer the hon. Member to the reply given by right hon. Friend to a. question by the hon. Member for Wigan (Mr. Parkinson) on the 7th March, of which a copy is being sent to him. The Governor of Kenya is being asked whether he can supplement the information given in that reply.
