§ 36. Mr. THOMAS COOKasked the Minister of Labour the number of employés who will be displaced as the result of closing the training centre at Swanton Novers, Norfolk; and whether those who are displaced will be given the opportunity of further employment at other training centres?
Mr. HUDSONThe number of temporary employés who will be displaced as the result of closing the instructional centre at Swanton Novers is 19. Of this number, two have already been offered and have accepted further employment in the Department, and the remainder will be considered for vacancies in other centres as opportunity offers. I should add that, as many of these employés are local residents, transfer may possibly present difficulties.
