Mr. CHAMBERLAINThe Irish Free State had already withheld sums amounting to £1,750,000 by the 15th July, when the Special Duties came into force. The sums withheld between that date and the 15th October amounted to £564,000, and the revenue from the Special Duties, during the same period, to £503,000.
