HC Deb 28 November 1932 vol 272 c467
26. Mr. BROCKLEBANK (for Sir JOHN SANDEMAN ALLEN)

asked the Postmaster-General whether he can give an assurance that, as a result of the International Telegraph Union and Radio Conference now sitting at Madrid, there will be no increase of charges to any section of British users; and whether, if possible, the status quo will be maintained, at any rate as regards Great Britain?

Sir K. WOOD

The International Conference is not yet at an end, and I cannot say at present what its results will be. I can, however, assure my hon. Friend that the British delegation has done and is doing all that is possible to protect the public against proposals for increasing rates.
