HC Deb 10 November 1932 vol 270 c488
18. Mr. FLEMING

asked the Home Secretary if he has any information as to the present whereabouts of the London girls who were left stranded in a Paris hotel by one Luis Fernandez, who was recently convicted of murder in that city?

Sir J. GILMOUR

No, Sir. I have made inquiry, but I can find no confirmation of the statements which were made recently in a newspaper that the man referred to has decoyed six English girls to Paris on the pretext of finding them theatrical employment.

Mr. FLEMING

Does that reply mean that inquiries have been addressed directly to the Prefecture of Police in Paris?

Sir J. GILMOUR

Yes, Sir. Scotland Yard has been in communication with the French police.
