§ 7. Mr. LEWISasked the Secretary of State for Dominion Affairs if he has any further statement to make with regard to the relations between this country and the Irish Free State?
§ 11. Mr. MANDERasked the Secretary of State for Dominion Affairs whether any consultation has now taken place with the other members of the British Commonwealth of Nations with regard to the controversy with the Irish Free State as affected by the Ottawa Conference?
Mr. THOMASAs I have already made clear, the issues at the moment are between this country and the Irish Free State, inasmuch as they relate to the interpretation of the Treaty of 1921 and other Agreements forming part of the Settlement then reached between the two countries. His Majesty's Government in the United Kingdom have naturally taken steps to keep the other Dominion Governments informed of the position.
§ Mr. HANNONWould it not be better, in view of the grave interests raised by this matter, that questions of this kind should not be put on the Paper?
