§ Sir A. SINCLAIRAccording to returns made to the Department of Agriculture for Scotland, the acreage of crops under glass in 1930 (the latest year for which figures are available) was as follows: For the whole of Scotland, 145½ acres; for Perthshire, 7 acres; and for Lanarkshire, 67½ acres. The figures for tomatoes are 101¼, 1¾ and 57½ acres for Scotland, Perthshire and Lanarkshire, respectively.
