asked the First Commissioner of Works on what date it is anticipated that the statue of Field Marshal Earl Haig will be erected in Whitehall?

Under the terms of the contract entered into with the sculptor the memorial should be ready for erection in the summer of 1934.

Will the hon. and gallant Gentleman suggest to his right hon. Friend that the statue, before being put in public, should be submitted to representatives of the British Legion and the ex-service men's organisation for their final opinion?
