HC Deb 02 March 1932 vol 262 cc1106-7
4. Mr. DENVILLE

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs what steps he intends to take to prevent the despatch from this country of any force or organisation proposing to take part in the hostilities between China and Japan?

Mr. EDEN

His Majesty's Government have no knowledge or information of the despatch of any force or organisation proposing to take part in the hostilities between China and Japan.

Mr. DENVILLE

Is the hon. Gentleman aware that in several national newspapers large headlines were exhibited a few weeks or days ago, saying that an expeditionary force was being sent to the aid of Japan, and of the danger likely to arise from such propaganda in that country?
