31. Brigadier-General BROWNasked the Postmaster-General whether he is aware that the air mail to Kenya, which is scheduled to take eight days, has for some weeks taken 21 days; what is the cause of the delay; and whether he can take steps to keep this mail up to scheduled time?
§ Sir K. WOODOn only four occasions during the last three months was the aeroplane as much as one day late in arriving at Nairobi and this delay has not been exceeded. If my hon. and gallant Friend will let me have particulars of any letter which has suffered greater delay, I will have full inquiry made.
Brigadier-General BROWNIn view of the fact that the aeroplane is late only a few times, why does delivery take 21 days instead of eight so often?
§ Sir K. WOODI am afraid that I cannot accept my hon. and gallant Friend's suggestion. If he has a letter, I will examine it and let him know.
§ Sir K. WOODYes, certainly.
