HC Deb 23 June 1932 vol 267 cc1250-1
41. Mr. LIDDALL

asked the Minister of Agriculture if he will take action before the end of the present Session of Parliament to protect the home agricultural producer against the dumping of competing produce at prices below those obtaining in the country of origin, particularly when the Governments of the countries in question facilitate the process by means of export subsidies or any other form of Governmental action such as that taken in the Soviet Union?

Mr. WOMERSLEY (Lord of the Treasury)

I have been asked to reply. I can assure my hon. Friend that the question he raises is being very carefully con- sidered, but I am afraid that immediate action in the direction he suggests is not practicable.
